Rehearsing to take a show on the road
We rehearsed and went to the Scottish Community Drama Association (SCDA) One Act Play Festival in Birnam back in February 2022. For our first performances in front of the public in over two years, no less. We won an award for the Best Moment of Theatre (or, more accurately) Andrew Illsley won it. All over, you'd think.
But no. After a small amount of deliberation it was decided to tour the show around some of the local village halls. So rehearsing was the order of the day.
But wait - there's more. Andrew, so very good that he won that trophy, decided that he'd do a little promo video to, you know, publicise the upcoming tour. And what better piece to record than that piece that won us - sorry, him - the trophy.
